We review the boat’s condition, equipment, onboard documents and insurance cover relevant to the passage, along with the intended route, timing and crew experience. A delivery plan is agreed before departure, with practical contingencies for changing conditions.

I can assess the crew needed for the passage and, where appropriate, draw on a network of professional sailors. Roles and qualifications are discussed for each boat and route.
The scope, dates, travel arrangements, expenses and reporting are agreed in advance. After arrival, the boat is handed over with the agreed notes on its passage and condition.
